Wow nurse Jackie needs some serious therapy. She is however, awesome. Jackie gets to do all the outrageous things nurses want to do. Is it realistic that she can get away with them, no. What makes this show entertaining is the sarcastic humor and disregard for rules. If I could drug my director of nursing and get away with it I would too. It is fun to pretend that for a minute that it would be possible. I love the opening scene where she says "What do you call a nurse with a bad back, unemployed". So true and sad. Nurses may be outraged that they are being portrayed by a narcotic abuser, but lets face it there are some out there. Jackie also forged an organ donor card, but I'm sure somewhere that has also happened. I'm not easily offended. This is not a show for the easily offended, but there is a parental warning. So nurses check it out. Even if you are the Florance Nightingale of your unit, you will like Jackie because at the heart of her story she is a hero. She steals from the rich to give to the poor. She also practices an eye for an eye.
